Prayer Request!

Please be in prayer for the family of Scott and Jennifer Dees of Wimberly Church. They are traveling back from Orlando today because of the unexpected death of Jennifer's father. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers during this especially difficult time.

New Addition!

This guy in the middle here recently relized he could not make this summer without going to Belize. This picture was taken recently at a special ceremony for graduating Seniors at Springfield. The really special part of the day was that his mom (Dezzie) on the left was also celebrating college graduation! Anybody got any ideas for a nickname for this guy let me know. My creativity is running a little low this week.

Free Day Plans and Cost!

I have made plans for everyone (except the Arkansas Bunch) to go snorkeling on our free day. In order to do that, I am paying in advance with my own credit card. The cost is $77 per adult, and $55 per child 12 and under (Dabba and Jakinator). Please send me your money for free day asap. This cost includes lunch. You will not need any additional money for this trip unless you plan to buy t shirts - etc. Make checks out to me as I am handling this separate from the Blitz monies. If you do not plan to go snorkeling, let me know and I will handle it with the tour operator.

Also, Wimberly and Vicksburg folks, I need you to go ahead and send the rest of your trip cost. I had to pay for airline cost last week and that depleted the Blitz accounts.

Team Tshirts

Here is the design for the team shirt this year. It is based on a drawing submitted by Jake-inator. One of the team members from Springfield. The tshirt guys took his drawing and gave it a more tropical look. The tshirts screen color will actually be more of a lime green.

Blitz Team Members will be getting one of these shirts as part of the trip. We will be selling them for $20 US as a fundraiser for the trip. Anybody that would like to have a shirt should contact me or a team member about ordering.

Thank You Note!

I am using this space to send a heartfelt THANK YOU! to two different entities within our denomination. First the Alabama Branch of the WMS donated $350.00 to the Blitz back in April, and second the Alabama Conference voted last week to donate $2000.00 to the Blitz. This money is much needed to help cover VBS supplies and general expenses of the trip. I greatly appreciate both donations, and send out a THANKS! to anyone involved in making the decisions to donate to the Blitz.

Meet the Team Installment #3

Hah! I found this on my computer today! Bet they had forgotten about it. Left to Right we have Cack, Nemo, Dezzie, Jebbie Dean and Cack's Daughter (she is not making the trip) That guy in the middle looks familiar, but I just can't place him. These gals will be spread out over Belize in a few weeks! Be on the lookout for them.
